The main lake was originally excavated back in the late 1970’s to extract gravel to build the adjacent M181 motorway, since then the lake has matured and is now tree lined with beautiful landscaped banks.
The lake previously operated as a trout fishery and several years after that as a specimen tench / coarse fishery.
The lake had several owners before being left unattended for 4 years until Doncaster businessman Richard Anderson purchased it in August 2013. Since then Richard has completely transformed the site into a specimen syndicate carp fishery with a smaller day ticket lake available to all anglers.
The lakes were re-opened to anglers in March 2014 and whilst all the major improvements are now complete the fishery will continue to undergo work to complete some additional facilities for anglers during the next 18 months to two years.
The Day Ticket Lake
The smaller of our two lakes is a 22-peg day ticket water open to all anglers and which can also be used as a match lake. Syndicate members have free access to this lake as well as the main lake.
We are happy to make the match lake available to clubs and angling societies for matches or outings. Group Bookings must be booked in advance at a cost of £6.00 per peg.
The lakes are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (or darkness, whichever is sooner).
