Nuddock Wood Lake -The Lakes
The Syndicate Lake
Nuddock Wood Lake is a 9 acre gravel pit situated in a rural location close to Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire. There is also a 22 peg match/day ticket lake situated on the complex. The fishery was bought in 2013 by Doncaster businessman Richard Anderson and has undergone extensive but sympathetic development to transform it into a modern specimen carp syndicate.
Work has included the creation of 13 brand new carp pegs on the syndicate lake, the installation of a road and hard standing parking, extensive groundwork and landscaping and the re-instatement of paths around the entire lake.
The Match / Day Ticket Lake
The smaller 2 acre ”match style” lake has 22 pegs and is reed fringed and shallower with aquatic weed and a central island to fish to. It’s stocked with over 900 carp to 6 lb’s. This lake is available to day ticket anglers.
What’s in each Lake?
The main lake contains mirror and common carp to 33 lb tench to 10 lb and bream to 18 lb, the smaller match lake has common carp, mirror carp, zip linear and leather carp to 6 lb, tench to 8 lb, bream to 10 lb, and some silver fish
There are around 150 carp in total in the main lake, 110 of which were stocked in December 2013 as low 20’s. Five of these fish have already hit the 30 lb+ mark.
The remaining 40 fish are original lake stock, mostly Common’s to around 28 lb+. The new fish are prolific feeders and are really packing on the pounds.
We’ve also recently stocked some top quality smaller carp.
